  • In December 2012, the work of Dans Digital, Gemdale Lake City-Art won the silver award in the category of TVC- Animation at Epica Awards 2012.

    Set up in France in 1987, EPICA awards was aiming to promote and reward the highest standards in European advertising. In 2012, after 25 years focusing on Europe and the EMEA region, the Epica Awards went global, and began to call for entries worldwide. 

         
    Epica’s aim is to reward outstanding creativity and help communication agencies, film production companies, media consultancies, photographers, and design studios to develop their reputations beyond their national borders. Epica set up 17 categories and 48 sub-categories, including Radio, TVC, Design and so on. Epica went global in 2012 and received 3,900 entries from 649 companies in 62 countries, which were submitted from global advertising companies, such as Oglivy, JWT, DDB, BBDO, WANDA, and CAA, etc. A large number of famous advertising works were competing with each other, such as The Bus (MIDTTRAFIK), Cartier Odyssey (Cartier), Ali (Louis Vuitton), The Invisible Drive (Mercedes Benz), Large Coffee (McDonald's), Enchanted Forest (FedEx Express), Hedgehogsh (Volkswagen), Zombiu Game Trailer (Ubisoft), Coke hands (Coca-Cola).

    The jury panel of the competition is consistd of 41 specialists from 34 countries, and They represent the highest standards of the advertising industry. Gold, silver and bronze awards were born after rounds of selection. Gemdale Lake City·Art from Dans Digital was in the category of Craft & Imagery, which is a newly-added category of this year. It mainly focuses on the creativity and use of film craft. The competition of this category is very fierce, and our rivals include the advertising works for renowned brands like Cartier, Mercedes Benz, LV, etc. 

    Dans Digital received great recognization since the competition began to call for entries worldwide. The film by Dans Digital which combined the art styles of watercolor and oil painting is the only award-winning Chinese work within this category. And among all the Chinese companies within this competition, Dans Digital wins the highest prize.
